Masato Kato, known as one of the writers for Chrono Trigger and Xenogears, announced a smartphone RPG called Another Eden: The Cat Who Goes Beyond Time at last year’s Tokyo Game Show. We haven’t heard much about it since then, but Wright Flyer Studios announced that the game is getting a 6-hour broadcast at TGS 2016.
When Another Eden was announced during Tokyo Game Show 2015, it was revealed as a new title by Masato Kato, who was one of the writers for Chrono Trigger. Similar to the SNES hit, Another Eden will also involve time travel, where players will get to explore three time periods out of ancient, contemporary, and the future. Additionally, the game features an opening theme created by none other than Yasunori Mitsuda, who also worked on Chrono Trigger‘s music.
During the 6-hour livestream, the developers will tell us everything there is to know about the world of Another Eden. They’ll also share more on the game system, artwork, scenario, music, and more.
The 6-hour livestream starts at 11:00am JST on September 17, 2016 and can be viewed over at NicoNico Live. Here’s a look at the schedule:
- 11:00 – Live gameplay commentary: World premier look at Another Eden’s game-play.
- 12:00 – Graphics: Commentary feature by art director Takahito Ekusa and character designer Che Shinu.
- 13:00 – Scenario: Commentary feature about the world of Another Eden by scenario and scriptwriter Masato Kato.In the latter half of the segment, Masato Kato will be joined by a special guest, Shota Shimoda.
- 14:00 – Sound: Commentary feature about the game’s 60 plus title soundtrack by composer Shunsuke Tsutiya and Mariam Abounnaser. There will also be a special surprise.
- 15:00 – Character Voices: Talks by voice actresses , Mie Sonosagi and Makoto Ishi about character voices.
- 16:00 – Game System: Complete reveal of the game’s system！
A few days prior to the big livestream, Wright Flyer Studios will host another livestream on September 15 at 1:00pm JST, where they’ll share a sneak peek on gameplay mechanics of Another Eden.
