During Sony and ForwardWorks’ presentation, the company revealed a new analog experience with “Project Field.” Starting with Yo-kai Watch, it’ll bring a new card game platform to smartphones. [Thanks, @mochi_wsj.]

The concept of Project Field began when Sony brainstormed ideas for coming up with something similar to what they had with My First Sony.

As a result, they came up with a new item that allows you to use real trading card games on your smartphone, using the pad device developed by Sony.

Yo-kai Watch was announced as the first title that will see action for the new project with more to follow.
