Castlevania: Dracula X originally appeared on the Super Nintendo in 1995. It is a significantly altered port of the TurboGrafx 16’s Castlevania: Rondo of Blood. Dracula has kidnapped Richter Belmont’s girlfriend, Annet, and her sister, Maria. Richter must venture out to rescue him and defeat both Dracula and his minions. The Super Nintendo version is slightly more difficult, has seven different levels, only offers two of the four alternate levels, and removes the option of playing as Maria after she’s been rescued. It is $7.99 on the New Nintendo 3DS eShop.

Mario Kart 64 originally appeared on the Nintendo 64 in Japan in 1996, reaching the rest of the world in 1997. It is the second Mario Kart game and first to offer four player multiplayer and 3D tracks. Players can go through Grand Prix, Time Trial, Versus, and Battle modes as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser, Toad, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, and Wario. The Banshee Boardwalk, Bowser’s Castle, Choco Mountain, DK’s Jungle Parkway, Frappe Snowland, Kalimari Desert, Koopa Troopa Beach, Luigi Raceway, Mario Raceway, Moo Moo Farm, Rainbow Road, Royal Raceway, Sherbet Land, Toad’s Turnpike, Wario Stadium, and Yoshi Valley tracks are available. Getting the gold trophy in the Special Cup 150cc unlocks Extra, which lets you go through mirrored versions of the courses. It is $9.99 in the Nintendo Wii U eShop.
