Bonk’s Revenge Joins North America’s Virtual Console

Recommended Videos

There is only one new Virtual Console game in North America this week, and that’s Bonk’s Revenge for the Nintendo Wii U. This TurboGrafx-16 gem joins a growing library of PC Engine titles building on the system’s library.

Bonk’s Revenge is the second entry in the Bonk series and debuted on the TurboGrafx-16 in 1991. (Don’t mistake it for the Game Boy game!) King Drool III stole half of the moon, and it is up to Bonk the caveman to get it back. He headbutts enemies and the ground to do damage, can climb by using his teeth to scale walls, and even has a hover jump. There are seven stages and eight bonus stages.

Bonk’s Revenge is $5.99 on the Nintendo Wii U eShop.
