Mighty No. 9 Nintendo 3DS And Vita Versions May Release In 2017

Comcept has released a new Mighty No. 9 update for Kickstarter backers, and it addresses a number of important issues. Mainly, it goes over what is happening with the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita ports and missing backer merchandise. In both cases, it seems like people might finally start seeing some products.

In the update, Comcept reveals that the handheld versions’ porting process was paused because of the console game delays. In early May 2017, the developer began working on Mighty No. 9 for the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita again. The current release window is 2017 for both iterations of the game.

As for the physical backer rewards that are missing-in-action, those should be shipping within a few months as well. Supposedly most of them have been made and should be shipped out by mid-August 2017. Fangamer will email everyone still due a reward before it ships, to confirm addresses.

The end of the Mighty No. 9 addresses the question of what Comcept becoming a Level-5 subsidiary means. It says this will not have any effect on Mighty No. 9, but notes it will mean games from Akihiro Hino and Keiji Inafune, as well as possible cameos from Beck and Level-5 characters in games.

Mighty No. 9 is available for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
