At San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, Sega announced that Sonic Mania will have Special Stages, and they also shared a first look as well as a sample of its music.
The above image was shared at SDCC 2017, and it’s basically an updated version of the older Sonic games on Sega CD and Sega Saturn. The game will also have an opening animation inspired by Sonic CD that is expected to be unveiled on August 14, 2017, the day before the game’s release.
The track called “Dimension Heist” is the theme of the Special Stages in Sonic Mania, composed by Tee Lopes and mixed/mastered by Falk Au Yeong.
Sonic Mania releases on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on August 15, 2017.
