Recommended Videos

A few months ago, it was revealed that, like Pokémon Red, Blue & Yellow, the Gold & Silver versions would similarly be getting a re-release for the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS. Nintendo has now shared the launch trailer for the games, which you can check out in the following video.

Pokémon Gold & Silver originally released for the GameBoy back in November 1999 in Japan and in North America almost a year later, in October 2000. Gold & Silver introduced a number of game-changing features to the series, including gendered Pokémon, a day and night cycle, Pokémon breeding, and the Steel and Dark types, among others. The versions for the 3DS and 2DS will release in just a few days, on September 22nd, 2017.
