The Red Bull Battle Grounds will mark the debut of an all new virtual reality experience related to the Street Fighter series. On November 18-19, 2017, the Capcom Pro Tour North American Finals will be held at Boston’s The Castle at Park Plaza. There, people will be able to play the Street Fighter II Bonus Stage in virtual reality.
This Street Fighter II Bonus Stage experience will use the HTC Vive and its Vive Trackers to allow people to attempt to beat up a car as quickly as possible. There will be a contest tied to this at the event, giving people a chance to play through the bonus stage, submit their information, and be entered to win a Red Bull Street Fighter V Can custom gaming cabinet or HTC Vive VR headset.
The official press release states the Street Fighter II Bonus Stage virtual reality experience will only be available to play during the Red Bull Battle Grounds Capcom Pro Tour North American Finals. It is unknown if it will eventually be released to a wider audience.
