Double Fine Productions has released a Psychonauts 2 production update video that offers people good news and bad news. The good news is, Raz Aquato’s family is making a bigger appearance, getting character models and names. (His sister, Frazie, can be seen above.) The bad news is, the game has been delayed. It has gone from a 2018 launch window to an undetermined one.
The reason for the delay is due to Double Fine Productions having a better idea of the size and scope of Psychonauts 2. Progress is being made, but the developer is unsure how long it will actually take to be completed. As such, it wants to avoid disappointing people by providing a date it may not meet.
Raz’s entire family has received names in the production video. His father is Augustus, his mother is Donatella, his older brother is Dion, his older sister is Frazie, his younger sister is Mirtala, and his younger brother is Queapie. You can see their character designs and models in the update video below.
Psychonauts 2 is in development for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
