Bandai Namco revealed last October that it is releasing a new smartphone RPG for the God Eater series called God Eater: Resonant Ops, and the company announced that it’ll launch in Japan this spring.

In case you haven’t seen it yet, you can check out the reveal trailer in the above video. We still don’t know much about the game, but its story takes place four years after the events of God Eater 2: Rage Burst.

The announcement came as part of a special 8th anniversary for the God Eater series, which released its very first title back in February 4, 2010 for PSP in Japan.

Bandai Namco is also hosting a special event for its anniversary on March 24, where new information will be revealed for the series, including the latest on God Eater 3 and more on God Eater: Resonant Ops.

God Eater: Resonant Ops launches in Japan in Spring 2018 for Android and iOS.
