The New Animal Crossing Website Placeholder Update Is A Creepypasta In The Making

Recommended Videos

The Animal Crossing website was updated last week with several placeholder news posts and placeholder video links, including a very creepypasta-esque usage of several paragraphs from Franz Kafka’s “The Metamorphosis” as filler text. [Thanks, BRMenny on Youtube!]

Clicking into any of the placeholder news posts revealed the above text, but we doubt this means the next game will be Animorphs Crossing.

Meanwhile, all of the placeholder video links for the Video page went to a The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild trailer.

However, since yesterday the News and Videos sections of the website now redirects to the main page. The 3DS portion of the website is also broken, so the placeholders could just be part of a website overhaul of some sort, and is unlikely to hint at a new game at all.
