Sony’s E3 Conference Will Be “Taking A Different Angle”

Recommended Videos

Sony’s E3 conference will be apparently be different from usual, according to Sony Interactive Entertainment America CEO Shawn Layden. [Thanks, Polygon!]

In the latest PlayStation Blogcast podcast, he mentioned that Sony is “taking kind of a different angle on how we’re bringing it out”, because Sony continues “to try to refresh and remake and reignite… what used to be called a press conference for E3”.

Sony has stayed mum so far on their E3 event, but Layden confirmed that there will be deep dives into Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and The Last of Us Part II. There will also be no hardware announcement at E3 this year for Sony.

Furthermore, Sony will focus on third-party publishers and indie studios. The event, which will take place on June 11, 2018 at 6:00pm PT, will be broadcast on Youtube, Twitch, Facebook, and PlayStation Live.
