A Sonic the Hedgehog panel was held at the 2018 San Diego Comic Con today, and two Team Sonic Racing announcements came from it. Sega and IDW Publishing are creating a one-shot comic book. Also, a clip was shown displaying a wintry track players will race on in the game. (Thanks, TSSZ!)
The Team Sonic Racing comic is being written by Caleb Goellner and drawn by Adam Bryce Thomas. The cover was shared at the panel. It will be released sometime in October 2018. People will be able to pick it up for $4.99.
The Team Sonic Racing footage was quite brief and showed off a new track found in the game. In the video, Big the Cat is racing with other iconic characters on an icy track. The name of this track was not revealed, so it is unknown if it is an entirely new one or happens to be returning from a past Sonic racing game.

Team Sonic Racing will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in Winter 2018.
