One of the first games Ubisoft announced for the Nintendo Switch is no longer coming to the system. A port of Steep, the open world, winter sports game that allowed people to ski, snowboard, paraglide, and enjoy wingsuit flying in a persistent online world with other players, is no longer in development. (Thanks, Resetera!)

Here is the official confirmation from the Steep Twitter account, which notes that existing versions of Steep will still get challenges and other content. It also promises “exciting news.”

Steep was one of the first games Ubisoft announced for the Nintendo Switch. Back in January 2017, the company pledged to bring Just Dance 2017, Rayman Legends Definitive Edition, and Steep to the system. Just Dance 2017 debuted on March 3, 2017, followed by Steep on September 12, 2017. On October 12, 2018, Steep Director Arnaud Ragot did an interview with Nerd Report and said the Nintendo Switch version was still planned, but the Road to the Olympics expansion was Ubisoft Annecy’s priority.

Steep is immediately available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
