Shakedown: Hawaii Reappears At PAX West 2018

It has been a while since anything has really been said about Shakedown: Hawaii, the sequel to Retro City Rampage. One of the last things heard was that it would appear in April 2017. But now Vblank Entertainment is busting the game out for PAX West 2018, giving people an update, releasing a new trailer, and allowing PAX West attendees a chance to play.

As part of the Shakedown: Hawaii update, a progress report was offered. The game is not done yet. Supposedly, story missions are almost all set and the business acquisition metagame is working. A release date is not available, but an extensive September 2018 trailer was promised.

However, details on what people can do in Shakedown: Hawaii at PAX West was discussed. Apparently, the story mode, free roaming, and arcade challenges will be present at the demo available there. It is not noted if this includes the business element, which will have people completing separate missions to get businesses and land, while also running a protection racket and “taking care” of the competition.

Here is the PAX West 2018 Shakedown: Hawaii trailer.

Shakedown: Hawaii is in development for the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC.
