Metal Gear Solid 2 And 3 HD Backwards Compatible On The Xbox One Now

Xbox One owners will have an opportunity to return to Metal Gear Solid’s roots. Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 HD backwards compatibility is here. This means people who have the Xbox 360 will now be able to play Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater again.

As a reminder, the Metal Gear Solid HD Edition versions of these two games for Xbox 360 were remasters of the updated editions. This means you are getting Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, which included things like Boss Survival and 500 stand-alone missions, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, which offered things like a third-person camera mode.

Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 HD are immediately available for the Xbox 360 and now playable on the Xbox One. If someone purchases a digital copy from the Microsoft Store, it will cost $19.99.
