The latest Phantasy Star game, called Idola Phantasy Star Saga, launches for smartphones in Japan tomorrow and Sega released a new story trailer showing off its characters.

The main draw of Idola Phantasy Star Saga are the giant mythical creatures known as “Idola” that play a big role in the game’s story and gameplay. The Idola are giant creatures that are said to be messengers of the god of destruction, “Dark Falz,” who was sealed ages ago. They now threaten the livelihood of mankind, and the game will have players fight as and against the Idola.

Idola Phantasy Star Saga launches in Japan on November 27, 2018 for iOS and Android. You can read more about the game here, check out a trailer showing gameplay and its law/chaos characters here, or learn more about its setting from the director and producer here.
