Apart from the world and cities that Wonder Gravity takes place in, Sega has also revealed a few new characters, such as Hugo’s father Lenon who starts the whole affair, and the various characters who are after Lenon’s logbook that is in Hugo’s possession.
For those unfamiliar with the game, Wonder Gravity is Sega’s latest smartphone title that takes place in a world of sky where no land or ocean exists. The young boy Hugo receives a letter from his disappeared father, stating that his father has reached the bottom of the world, Endroll. Together with a Pino named Neil, Hugo becomes a Gravity User in order to undercover the truth. The story of the game is being written by Yasuko Kobayashi of Kamen Rider Den-O fame.
Lenon (CV: Kouichi Yamadera)
Hugo’s father, and a skilled Gravity User. He is currently on the run as an international criminal who lied about reaching Endroll and taking the reward money for the discovery. Hugo doesn’t really believe his father did such a thing.
Chipool (CV: Ikue Ootani)
A Pino who acts as the ship’s mechanic, and is a giant glutton. He’s mistaken as a tanuki quite often, but he’s actually a squirrel. Chipool used to have a contract with Hugo’s father Lenon, but one day, Lenon abandoned Chipool. Although Chipool is depressed over the fact, he’s not going to stop eating regardless.
Rayard (CV: Shunsuke Takeuchi)
A spy working for the World Organization’s intelligence division, Umbrella. In order to catch the international criminal Lenon, he constantly has Hugo marked. It’s said that no one who sees him makes it out of the situation alive.
Ibrik (CV: Ryouhei Kimura)
Rayard’s partner Pino. He’s quite aggressive, and is a constant thorn in Hugo’s side. He constantly butts heads with Rayard, but still ends up supporting him anyways.
Houston (CV: Takahiro Sakurai)
A famed logbook hunter, who is after the logbook in Hugo’s possession. He’s a cool-headed person who’s something of Hugo’s rival. Houston seems to have a grudge against the World Organization.
Nasa (CV: Yui Horie)
Houston’s partner Pino. She’s very talented, and attacks with her dual blades with adept grace. She always seems collected and above it all, so why does she seem to admire Houston so much…?
Dr. Cranke (CV: Jouji Nakata)
A slovenly middle-aged man who likes booze and gambling. However, he is also a genius doctor without peer. Together with Lirurero, he is trying to uncover the truth behind the mysterious Alter Disease currently plaguing the world.
Lirurero (CV: Ayana Taketatsu)
Dr. Cranke’s partner Pino, and assistant. She’s very roundabout in expressing how she feels, and Niel nicknames her “Dr. Tsundere”. She’s ultimately a kind person with a caring side, such as worrying over Chipool’s health.
