Death Stranding Is ‘Slightly Behind’ The Schedule Hideo Kojima Had For It

Recommended Videos

Hideo Kojima has spoken out about the progress of Death Stranding. In an interview with J-Wave, the interview brought up how fans were waiting for a release date and asked how production was coming along. In response, he said, “Many studios lag behind their planned release date, and Death Stranding is slightly behind our initial plan, but it is not too far behind.”

Kojima also noted that he is “holding the controller everyday.” He said that he is playing the current versions of the game and seeing what changes may need to be made.

We do know some things about Death Stranding‘s current state. The Japanese voice acting recording sessions began in December 2018. The first two hours are apparently playable, as Kojima took it to Guerilla Games for the team there to play in January 2019

Death Stranding is in development for the PlayStation 4.
