Keiji Inafune-founded studio Level-5 Comcept’s first mobile title, Dragon & Colonies, is finally in pre-registration and is set to launch in June 2019.

The title is the first to come out of the studio since Comcept’s acquisition by Level-5, and features “hakoniwa”-esque Box Colonies with different faces that can be each be customized to the player’s liking. After customizing your Box Colony, it’s time to fight other players, and you are able to swap the currently active Box Colony face to match different situations that pop up in battle.

Here’s the latest trailer for the upcoming mobile title:

Dragon & Colonies is running a pre-registration campaign that is joinable via following them on Twitter, on LINE, and Google Play Store.  Additionally, Keiji Inafune has written a message on the game’s official site:

“It’s said that the theory of game design is to not go overboard in adding in game concepts. If there are too many elements, the fun of the game becomes unfocused.

However, Dragon & Colonies has crafting, harvesting, character collection, growth elements, versus battles, a story, and more, meaning that it’s got every game element you could think of.

As a game that challenges game design taboos, I believe that we’ve managed to create a title that is confident in what it wants to achieve, beyond common sense.

I hope that many players will give this ambitious title a try.”

Dragon & Colonies is due to launch in June 2019.
