Nintendo Switch Online Owners Will Get To Play Free Mario Tennis Aces For A Week Starting On August 7, 2019

Nintendo’s North American and European branches have announced a temporary Nintendo Switch Online game trial offer. All subscribers will have a chance to play Mario Tennis Aces for free. The game will be available for a one week period, starting on August 7, 2019. People then have until August 13, 2019 to play the game.

In addition to the free game trial, Nintendo will have the game on sale. Digital copies will be 30% off in the North American eShop and 33% off in Europe. This sale will start on August 7, 2019, the same day the game trial begins. However, it will extend past the trial’s end date until August 20, 2019.

There’s another perk to this. People participating in the Mario Tennis Aces game trial will be getting to play the full version of the game. This means that any game saves they make will carry over to an actual copy, should they enjoy it and want to purchase it after the free period ends.

While two regions will have Mario Tennis Aces as the first Nintendo Switch Online game trial game, it won’t be available everywhere. In Japan, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is the game trial game. Like North America and Europe, it is available for a week. Its trial will begin on August 5, 2019 and run until August 11, 2019. There will also be the same 30% discount, with that lasting until August 18, 2019. Given that Nintendo Switch Online subscribers from North America and Europe can access the Japanese NES game selection, they may want to check the eShop and see if they can access this game trial as well.

Mario Tennis Aces is available for the Nintendo Switch.
