People may see more walls dropping around the PlayStation 4 garden. While PlayStation 4 cross-play was originally a beta feature that only certain titles, like Fortnite and Rocket League, could use, that beta has now ended. Access has opened up and all developers will now be able to use the feature. (Thanks, Wired!)

Sony did not make a public announcement about PlayStation 4 cross-play leaving its beta phase. However, now that it is a full feature, any developer could potentially implement it in their games.

Currently, the list of PlayStation 4 games that allow cross-play across multiple consoles is rather short. Dauntless, Fortnite, Paladins, Rocket League, and Smite all support the feature, with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Realm Royale also offering it soon. However, cross-play involving PlayStation 4 and PC games has been happening for a bit longer and includes titles like Final Fantasy XIV and Street Fighter V.
