For PC gamers, when you consider that the plain vanilla Overwatch can be bought for $39.99 on Battle.net, why would you pay $59.99 at a big box retailer for the Origins Edition for digital goodies that are mostly for other titles? Things are now changed up a bit though as the Origins Edition drops in price. This weekend only NewEgg is running a 25% off coupon for the Overwatch – Origins Edition and conversely another similar title in dParagon Essentials – dropping both games from $60 to only $44.99. They are both the best price to date that we’ve seen. Overwatch‘s deal also applies on all platforms while Paragon is for the PS4.
On the PC side, Grand Theft Auto V is receiving another weekend deal at GMG with pricing near half-off. This is one 2K title that’s held up very well in value through its multiple release phases in each platform. In a land of discounts aplenty, the PC version of GTAV has never dropped below $28.80 since we’ve been tracking the title from its PC release over a year ago.
Also noteworthy this weekend includes Battlefield 4 at a big price cut on Origin, PS4, and Xbox One. For PS4 version, you just need to pick up the game from the PSN store, whereas for Xbox One you’ll need Live Gold to see the discount to $4.50. For Battlefield: Hardline, the PS4 digital code is only $4.79 at Amazon for a limited time.
