Siliconera: The Unseen Side of Gaming

Siliconera is the blog to read for international video game news, hands-on impressions, and interviews you won’t see anywhere else on the net. We specialize in original translations, so you’ll hear it here first. Our staff is working at all hours, spread across Japan, Germany, Canada, and the United States. We update multiple times a day, seven days a week!

Gamers Live Here

Siliconera is part of the Enthusiast Gaming, Inc. network, which includes other quality journalism sites such as The Escapist, Destructoid, Daily Esports, PC Invasion, Operation Sports, and The Sims Resource.

Meet Our Editorial Team

Jenni Lada
Jenni is Editor-in-Chief at Siliconera and has been playing games since getting access to her parents' Intellivision as a toddler. She continues to play on every possible platform and loves all of the systems she owns. (These include a PS4, Switch, Xbox One, WonderSwan Color and even a Vectrex!) You may have also seen her work at GamerTell, Cheat Code Central, Michibiku and PlayStation LifeStyle.
Sato
Editor-in-Chief at Siliconera. Gamer, avid hockey fan, and firm believer in the heart of the cards.
Kazuma Hashimoto
Translator and streamer, Kazuma spends his time playing a variety of games ranging from farming simulators to classic CRPGs.
Graham Russell
Graham Russell has been writing about games for various sites and publications since 2007. He’s a fan of streamlined strategy games, local multiplayer and upbeat aesthetics. He joined Siliconera as a Contributing Editor in February 2020. When he’s not writing about games, he’s a graphic designer, web developer, card/board game designer and editor.
Kite Stenbuck
An avid gamer who learned the Japanese language mostly by playing Japanese games. Especially enjoys Dynasty Warriors, Ace Combat, and Gundam a lot.
Josh Tolentino
Josh Tolentino helped run Japanator as Managing Editor since 2012, before it and Siliconera teamed up. That said, it's been years since he watched enough anime to keep his otaku license valid. Maybe one day he'll see enough of a given season to pretend to know what's hot. Until then, it's Star Trek reruns, gacha games, and bylines at Destructoid and GameCritics.
Ishaan Sahdev
Ishaan specializes in game design/sales analysis. He's the former managing editor of Siliconera and wrote the book "The Legend of Zelda - A Complete Development History". He also used to moonlight as a professional manga editor. These days, his day job has nothing to do with games, but the two inform each other nonetheless.
Annette Polis
Annette is an avid gamer and obsessed with Nendoroids. She is that one person you know who actually likes Fallout 76. You may have spotted her streaming or writing about video games elsewhere.
    Keri Honea
Keri has been a part of the video games industry as a writer and editor since 2004. Her video game backstory is long, convoluted, and better left unheard. When she’s not playing or writing about video games, she’s reading Warhammer 40k novels, teaching yoga, and making sure her kids don’t burn down the house.
      Oni Dino
Oni Dino is a Japanese-English translator, podcaster, and media editor. He has worked on several video games, including "Kokoro Clover", and regularly translates columns from Masahiro Sakurai and Shigeru Miyamoto. In his free time, when he's not knee-deep in a JRPG and wishing games had more environmental story-telling, he's attending industry events and interviewing creative auteurs to share their stories.
      Benjamin Maltbie
Benjamin is a writer from Upstate New York who has spent the past five years learning to survive the summers of Phoenix, Arizona. When he isn't playing video games, he is rambling at length about tabletop RPGs or diving down rabbit holes on Wikipedia. He has been writing about video games for the last twelve years and can't imagine stopping anytime soon.
      Wes Tacos
I'm Wes Tacos, Community Manager and Contest Engineer for Enthusiast Gaming. I like tacos, proper nouns, and making fun of Coldplay.
