Capcom has revealed its first VR attraction based on Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Capcom plans to put this attraction in its new amusement facility set to open in Japan in July 2021. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
The attraction will feature a new original case coded VR-20. Phoenix Wright has to defend a second-year high school student charged with the murder of her elder sister. However, the trial started before the defense could complete gathering evidence, putting Phoenix in yet another pinch. This VR-20 case takes place chronologically around the timeline of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice, as Ema Skye has been promoted to a forensics scientist.
This VR game will place up to 2 players as forensic investigators under Ema Skye’s team. You have to help Ema investigate crime scenes by using scientific tools and controlling a spider-shaped mechanical device. She will ask you to quickly find decisive evidence that’ll help Phoenix and his client before the judge closes the trial with a guilty verdict.
Capcom will place the Ace Attorney VR game at the VR-X attraction in Miraino, an amusement center located inside Aeon Mall Hakusan in Japan’s Ishikawa prefecture. The VR-X attraction will also feature other titles like the Mega Man VR game and Resident Evil: Valiant Raid. The attractions will be available on July 19, 2021, the same day as the mall’s grand opening.
