Looks like DSiWare apps are coming in more than once a month now since Nintendo has a new line up of software scheduled to come out on April 1.
One of the more creative applications is the Photo Stand Band Brothers Radio DX. For 500 DSiWare points ($5) you can stream music based from the user created tunes from Band Brothers DX. The application has a variety of stations like this week’s top ten, hot songs from a single artist, hello newcomer for new music tracks, a hip hop station, and even a video game music station. Barbara the Bat acts as an announcer so it’s almost like having access to a real radio station. While you’re listening to music you can display your photos which explains the “Photo Stand” part in the title.
A bit of Magic Encyclopedia: Love or Dislike Detection Tool – a microphone based “detector” that can be used to determine if someone likes you or not. Get it for 200 DSiWare points, use at your own risk.
Ganin de Keshite Wakugumi no Jikan – Mitchell, the company that produced Polarium, developed this 500 DSiWare Point puzzle game where you slide black squares to encircle white squares or vice versa. You can make boxes or irregular shapes. As long as one color captures the other you clear pieces. This is tricky to explain so check out this gameplay video.
Ganbaru Watashi no Osaifu Ouendan (roughly: I Can Do It My Wallet Cheerleader) – Portable budgeting software that can export data to PC applications via CSV (comma separated value) files. You can set a monthly budget and track up to 25 months of data with the 500 DSiWare Point application.
