With the release of Blizzard’s Overwatch, 2K has gone gorilla when competing on price. In their own 2K store, and on Amazon, you’ll find the PS4 and Xbox One download price slashed from $59.99 to $39.99… and the deals only get more insane on PC.
GMG has Battleborn on their site slashed instantly to $35.99 which is a few bucks cheaper than 2K, but as we mentioned it gets even cheaper: at GMG, there is also an available 25% off code which stacks on top of the savings, dropping Steam copies of Battleborndown to $26.99 – a full 55% off discount.
|Game Title||MSRP||% Off||Sale Price|
|Battleborn Deluxx (PC) Code: DEALZON25||$74.99||55%||$33.74|
|Battleborn (PC) Codee: DEALZON25||$59.99||55%||$26.99|
|Battleborn (Xbox One)||$59.99||33%||$39.99|
These discounts are all part of 2K’s “Save the Last Star” Sale and is only valid for a limited tim through Saturday, May 28. It’s purely meant to attract saving-minded gamers, or gamers on the fence about which hero shooter to choose. Will this move gamers away from the new shiny Overwatch and over to Battleborn? Only time can tell.
After Saturday, we expect just about every retailer to be back at the full $59.99 list price – but if the game still doesn’t fare too well, expect another large price cut in the near future as 2K/Gearbox shore up playing population.
