Square Enix announced Bravely Default Brilliant Lights will end service in 2023. This information appeared through the official Japanese Twitter account, which included a message going over the closure of the game. While unexpected, Square Enix apologized for the abruptness of the announcement. However, it did not elaborate as to why the game will be ending service on February 28, 2023. That said, more information about how Square Enix will distribute the main scenario will appear in the near future.

Additionally, Square Enix will allow for players to view their characters, the enemy data base, and even revisit parts of the main scenario once the game has gone offline. Effective immediately, some changes have been made to in-game banners, quest rewards, and how the main scenario will be distributed.
Announced in July 2021, Bravely Default Brilliant Lights is a mobile entry in the Bravely Default series only available in Japan. It was announced as part of the 10th anniversary of Bravely Default, with the mobile title featuring characters from previous games such as Agnes Oblige, Edea Lee, and Ringabel. In February 2022, it reached over 4 million registered users.
Bravely Default Brilliant Lights will end service on February 28, 2023. It is available on Android and iOS devices in Japan.
