Pre-order discounts on digital PC games aren’t anything new, but the MMORPG expansion Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood didn’t grace us with the typically big pre-order discounts we expected (it hovered around 15% to 17% off). Now that the expansion has been released for a ten-days, we are seeing a bit more aggressive discounts for the stragglers who didn’t pick up the game earlier this month (for its early access).
The MogStation upgrade key for Stormblood is discounted 25% at the digital retailer Green Man Gaming. There you’ll find a straightforward discount on both the standard and digital collector’s edition of the game, putting it at $29.99 and $44.99 respectively.
|Edition||List||% Off||Sale Price|
|Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood Collector’s Edition||$59.99||25%||$44.99|
|Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood Standard Edition||$39.99||25%||$29.99|
While the game has been selling well on the PS4 front, the numbers aren’t as clear on the PC given its expansion status (plus the split between Steam and MogStation copies of the game).
Picking up the Digital CE grants you access to the syldra mount, wind-up bartz minion, and a chicken knife item. Essentially, you’re paying $15 more for the flying (and now water-diving) mount. GMG sells both PAL and NA version of the game, and you can check out the details on buying the correct regional copies here.
No known expiration exist for these 25% off deals on Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood, but based on our experience it should last at least through 4th of July weekend.
