If you’re thinking about picking up Fallout 4 next week and you’re still debating the platform to play it on – Best Buy is trying to make the decision easier for you this Sunday. Until next week (or while supplies last), when you buy any PlayStation 4 at Best Buy you’ll also receive a free copy of Fallout 4 plus a charging station (for the controller). Not a bad pre-Black Friday deal at all.
The PS4 bundles qualified under this promotion are recently announced ones, so you won’t be seeing any of those old The Last of Us Remastered PS4 bundles. Each of the bundles covers a particular price point:
- $349.99 for the Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection Bundle
- $399.99 for the new Destiny Taken King with White PS4 Bundle
- $429.99 for the 1TB Special Black Ops 3 skinned PS4 Bundle
When you add any of these PS4 to your shopping cart, a copy of Fallout 4 for PlayStation 4 will automatically get added to your cart, along with a charging station (third party one that’s worth about $15).
As a pre-Black Friday deal, this is a well-timed promotion considering Fallout 4 will release later this Tuesday. Note though that if you grab this bundle you most likely will get Fallout 4 later this week, giving Best Buy has a note about “items ships separately” – so its likely you’ll see the PS4 before the game, though that really depends stock in your local Best Buy distribution warehouse.
Will there be a better PlayStation 4 bundle and deals during Black Friday (or Cyber Monday?) – its tough to call but we believe they will be slightly better offers. Our best guess is an additional $50-$70 in value/bonuses added in, whether it’ll be another free game or gift cards. This is based on the value of bonuses retailers and Sony have been willing to offer this November.
As a quick example, hardcore bargain hunters may have spotted the PS4 bundle + $100 SonyRewards points offer that was available briefly last week through Sony. The deal was limited time but you were essentially receiving $100 in additional bonuses, even if collecting that value was limited to shopping on Sony Rewards.
If you absolutely can’t wait three more weeks, we think this is one of the best PS4 deal we’ll see before Black Friday and Cyber Monday. If you can wait, hunkering down for an even better deal might not be a bad idea (of course you’ll run the risk of dealing with server errors and limited supply, but that’s Black Friday for ya!).
