Capcom mentioned upcoming DLC for Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil Village in its New Year Greeting 2022 for Famitsu. On January 12, 2022, Monster Hunter Rise will appear on Windows PC via Steam. Previously, the game was only on the Nintendo Switch. As well, the expansion pack Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will launch in Summer 2022. Sunbreak is still in development, but it will add monsters both new and old.

As for Resident Evil, Capcom noted that it will provide titles from the series in multiple ways in order to let more players enjoy the games. It does not say which games will appear on which platforms, but it sounds like Capcom is teasing a remaster version of previous titles. RE Village will also get DLC in 2022, though Capcom did not provide any details. Capcom previously announced that the game would get DLC in June 2021.

Famitsu’s New Year Greeting column is the place where companies can announce new projects or upcoming titles for 2022. In Atlus’s announcement, it teased a new game and mentioned that the Persona 25th anniversary event will enter a new stage. Famitsu also released an end-of-year column in December 2021 for individual developers to reflect on the past year and make resolutions for the next year.

Monster Hunter Rise will come out on PC on January 12, 2022. It is readily available worldwide on the Nintendo Switch. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will go live in Summer 2022.
