Capcom has announced that it will sell a collection of three Biohazard Episode Selection box sets including the mainline Resident Evil games for the PlayStation 4, as part of the series’ 25th anniversary. Each box will cost ¥5,990, or approximately $55, and will release in Japan on November 25, 2021. Furthermore, the third box set includes 13 postcards featuring the cover art of past games. The box sets, or volumes, are separated into three distinct chapters of the Resident Evil storyline. The first volume, titled “Fall of Umbrella”, focuses on the events of the first three games. In addition to the HD remastered versions of Resident Evil and its prequel Resident Evil 0, the set also includes the remake versions of Resident Evil 2 and 3. The second volume is titled “Threat of Bioterrorism” and follows various members of the BSAA as they combat the remnants of Umbrella Corporation across the globe. Similarly, the second box set includes Resident Evil 45, and 6.

Lastly, the third volume is titled “Episode of Ethan Winters” and includes both Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Gold Edition and Resident Evil Village. Additionally, this box set includes a product code for the upcoming multiplayer title RE: Verse releasing in 2022, as well as the previously mentioned 13 postcards. Purchases from select stores will also come with bonus digital wallpapers. Orders from Amazon Japan will include a pinboard-style design of characters from each set.
