Clubhouse Games Switch Lets You Use Multiple Switches Locally for Mosaic Mode

The Clubhouse Games Switch installment is poised to bring the Nintendo DS classic into the modern age with 51 different games for people to play alone or with friends both locally and online. In Nintendo’s latest promotional video for it, the company cited one of the local options and how it gets innovative. If you have multiple Nintendo Switch systems in handheld mode with the Joy-Cons removed on a surface, you can connect them for Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics’ Mosaic Mode.

In the Clubhouse Games Switch version’s Mosaic mode, up to four systems can be linked together. The example video shows the Slot Cars minigame, which has people racing cards along a track. Once the four systems are placed together, someone could use touch controls to create a track. The initial example is a standard oval, before going to a more complex option with all sorts of turns.

Here’s the clip.

This isn’t the first time multiple Nintendo Switch games have been used in such a way. Super Mario Party had a Toad’s Rec Room mode that allowed multiple systems locally to combine together for different activities. Its Shell Shocked Deluxe minigame let you arrange two systems to create a map for tanks that would head out to attack one another.

Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics will come to the Nintendo Switch on June 5, 2020.
