The Japanese Hololive VTuber Uruha Rushia is no longer active. Cover Corporation announced that it terminated her contract due to a violation conducted by the person behind the VTuber.

Cover released a statement about this matter, which is also available in English on Reddit. The company discovered that the person behind Uruha Rushia leaked business information and distributed falsehoods to third parties. It apologized to the VTuber’s fans for breaking this news. The company will share more details about refunds for Uruha Rushia’s birthday merchandise at a later time. The VTuber’s birthday happened on January 22, 2023, roughly a month before this announcement.

This was not the first time Cover removed a Hololive VTuber due to a contract breach. In June 2018, the company terminated the first-generation VTuber Hitomi Chris due to a violation. In August 2020, it gave a two-week suspension to the newly-debuting fifth-generation member Mano Aloe due to an accidental leak of her Live2D model. Aloe retired on her own accord at the end of August 2020, but Cover still removed her page from the group’s website.

Kiryu Coco is currently the only member who has left Hololive under good terms. The fourth-generation VTuber launched her final graduation stream on July 1, 2021. Cover also retains her biography page on its website, with her listed as an OG.

After terminating its contract with Uruha Rushia, Cover will shut down the Hololive VTuber’s YouTube channel and membership around the end of March 2022.
