The Twitter account for the Fatal Frame series released the “Which Ghost Was The Scariest” poll results. Ghosts from the entire series were eligible in the poll. Although the poll results show the top ten, two ghosts got the same amount of votes and tied for ninth place.

- Broken Neck Woman (Fatal Frame II)
- Broken Neck Woman (Fatal Frame)
- Tattooed Priestess – Reika Kuze (Fatal Frame III)
- Fuyuhi With Cut Throat (Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water)

Technically speaking, both Reika Kuze and Fuyuhi are in ninth place. Koei Tecmo has not published the total number of votes everyone got. So it is unclear how many people put in their votes. The poll originally ran from December 13-27, 2022.
While there is no new game on the horizon for the Fatal Frame series, a remaster of Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is on the way. Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse will come out for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC on March 9, 2023.
