During a New Year live stream, CyberConnect2 CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama revealed that the company will announce a new game in February 2022. Notably, Matsuyama added that he believes the title will “100% blow up” on social media. The unannounced title has a release window of sometime in Summer 2022.
The New Year live stream featured Matsuyama sharing his memories and company events that occurred throughout 2021. After the New Year’s countdown, Matsuyama discussed CyberConnect2’s plans for 2022. Chief among these announcements was a new, unannounced title that will be announced sometime in February 2022. While Matsuyama didn’t offer much in the way of details, he had this to say:
At the beginning of the year, in February, there will be a new title announcement. If I say too much, I’ll be scolded … But there will be an announcement of a new title that no one knows about yet. That is already planned out.
What I will say is that it will 100% blow up. Well, ‘blow up’ might be a bit wrong… but I can tell. It’s going to blow up. That will be announced in February, and probably release around summer.
