Detective Pikachu Writers On How They Would Do A Super Smash Bros. Movie

Recommended Videos

In a recent interview, Detective Pikachu film writers Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit talked about how they would go about creating a hypothetical Super Smash Bros. movie. [Thanks, Screen Rant!]

According to Samit, the biggest part of what would make-or-break such an ambitious movie would be the build up, like how Marvel did it. “That’s how you have to approach Smash Bros.,” he staed.

As for Hernandez, the first movie to work on would be The Legend of Zelda: “It’d be a dream to write something like Legend of Zelda, but before you can get to that Smash Bros. stage you have to write the best damn version of The Legend of Zelda that you possibly can. And the same with Mario, the same with Kirby, the same with Star Fox.”

Detective Pikachu is currently showing in theatres.
