Square Enix is continuing its newly launched run of Final Fantasy XIV music video releases. Each one so far takes a song from Endwalker and shares it online. As the track plays, scenes from the expansion appear to set the stage. The latest FFXIV music video is for “Close the Distance.”
Here’s the full FFXIV “Close the Distance” music video. As a note, there are spoilers shown in it. While presented without context, they can still spoil some of the events in Endwalker. Especially regarding things that happen for the Scions of the Seventh Dawn.
For those aware of the context, this a song Masayoshi Soken composed that plays while in Ultima Thule. In-game, people will hear multiple variations of “Close in the Distance” play as part of the story. For example, there is an instrumental version of it. Another is called “Echoes in the Distance.”
The last FFXIV music video Square Enix shared was for “Flow.” That track is another one with variations of its theme appearing throughout songs appearing in the expansion.
Final Fantasy XIV and its Endwalker expansion is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. The official soundtrack for the game is also available to purchase.
