The next three characters in the Final Fantasy VII Remake Play Arts Kai figure lineup have been dated at the Square Enix e-Store. Appropriately, the villains are trailing behind the good guys. The next round will kick off with Reno in December 2020, and he’ll be followed by his partner, Rude, in January 2021. Finally, the Play Arts Kai Sephiroth figure will debut in February 2021.
We’ll start with the Play Arts Kai Reno figure, since he’ll be running in for the fight first. He has a tentative December 26, 2020 launch window in Japan and will cost 16,280 yen. (The Final Fantasy VII Remake Play Arts Kai figures have been going for $154.99 via the US Square Enix Store.) He has two face plates and his Electro-Mag Rod.
Here’s what the Play Arts Kai Reno figure looks like.
The Rude Play Arts Kai figure also has a 16,280 yen price tag. He’ll be out in Japan on January 30, 2021. You can pose him with his glasses on or off. He also has an extra pair of hands that is holding one of his spare pairs of glasses.
This is the Rude Play Arts Kai figure.
As you can imagine, the Sephiroth figure is also 16,280 yen. His estimated release date is February 27, 2021. He arrives wielding Masamune, his traditional weapon, and his extra face plate has his eyes closed.

While the worldwide preorders aren’t open yet for these three figures, people can start calling dibs on the Aerith, Barret, Cloud, and Tifa figures in other regions. Also, people who purchased the Final Fantasy VII Remake 1st Class Edition already have Cloud and his Hardy Daytona motorcycle. The current estimates have Cloud coming out in August, Barret in October, Tifa in November, and Aerith in December.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is available for the PlayStation 4 worldwide. Square Enix has said it will be an exclusive for one year.
