Square Enix announced several balance changes will arrive through future Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier updates. Additionally, the development team revealed that it has taken note of feedback from its player base and will work to improve matchmaking general operability in the future. However, the balance changes will arrive in Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier on January 18, 2022. And on January 21, 2022, a patch will roll out to resolve issues surrounding game crashes.
Firstly, Fire and Chocobo Kick will receive adjustment changes. The attack power of Chocobo Kick will be reduced. This specific move can be performed while a player is mounted on a Chocobo. While damage was adjusted for the attack power of the Chocobo previously, it will be rebalanced again. This is due to players combining Chocobo Kick with Firaga, which can almost instantly incapacitate a player when used together. The only major adjustment being made to Fire, Fira, and Firaga is the blast range of the spell. Additionally, changes will be made to Blizzard. However, this is somewhat insignificant, as the MP cost has been reduced from 2 to 1.
The team also shared detailed information regarding user satisfaction with Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier. While a majority of players have been satisfied with their experience, the team will continue to work hard to improve the general quality of the game.
Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier is available for Android and iOS devices.
