As mentioned earlier this week, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is now available on PC as of this morning. Skipping all the pre-order business, Square Enix has been opting with release week discount to drum up the sales and interest. At 20% off straight off the bat, the Steam Store is offering up the game for $23.99. But here’s where it gets much better: you can essentially pick up the game for only $18 after using discount code DEALZON25 during checkout if you opt for GMG.
The 20% off instant discount is thankfully applying at all Square Enix retailers and we’ve confirmed as of writing that our 25% off code is valid on Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster (woot). While $24 for the PC version was enticing enough, $18 makes it doubly so. The deal as far as we know also apply to other regions, though you’ll be looking at your respective regional pricing after the same percentage gets taken off.
This version of the game will include Steam/PC-exclusive features such as Trading Cards, Turbo of 2x and 4x speed, enemy encounter settings (increase/turn-off), auto-battle mode, and hide HUD options. Full details can be found at release notes here.
For gamers that have already picked up a copy and you’re wondering about language availability, check this post here. Essentially, if you want ENGLISH text with JAPANESE voice, you’re out of luck. If you want to play with Japanese audio, you’ll need to have Japanese EVERYTHING. Square Enix is saying the restriction is due to technical reasons, but here’s hoping modders will resolve this eventually. Meh to that, we say.
