The Nintendo Fiscal Year Ended March 2020 Financial Results are in, and the Fire Emblem”": Three Houses sales figures are looking good. It has now passed the 2.87 million mark. 2.29 million of those were overseas sales, while about 580,000 came from Japan. This has all been accomplished in less than a year, as the game came out on July 26, 2019.

This also marks quite a bit of recent growth in the last few months for Fire Emblem: Three Houses sales figures. The last time there was a check in back in February 2020, the number was at 2.58 million copies sold. That means around 290,000 were sold in the space between. Given the time until its first birthday in July 2020, it could be plausible another 130,000 copies could be sold to get it to three million.

Whether or not this makes Fire Emblem: Three Houses the best selling Fire Emblem game is a bit difficult to tell. It has already outsold Fire Emblem Awakening. Nintendo’s last figures for it said it passed 2.28 million copies at the end of December 2018. However, the Fire Emblem Fates figures are a bit trickier to decipher. It had three routes sold separately, each of which is counted as its own game, and the Revelations storyline was a digital-only release. So some figures for it have it coming in at about 2.94 million copies as of the end of December 2018. Either way, it seems Fire Emblem: Three Houses could pass that in 2020 and take the crown.

These figures also put Fire Emblem: Three Houses among the top 18 best selling Nintendo Switch games. It took the thirteenth spot, just below The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and right above Ring Fit Adventure.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is available for the Nintendo Switch.
