G-Mode to Release Japanese Cellphone Archives on Nintendo Switch

Before the advent of the iPhone in 2007, and even several years after 2007, Japanese mobile gaming was dominated by rather advanced cellphone games from various developers, with more famous ones including Kingdom Hearts coded and Hero Must Die. G-Mode announced that the developer is bringing its old cellphone games onto the Nintendo Switch as part of the new G-Mode Archives line, as many of the games are now unavailable. The first wave of G-Mode Archives titles include Flyhight Cloudia, Days of Love and Labor, Kururin Cafe, and Beach Volley Girl Shizuku. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

Flyhight Cloudia

This is story-focused RPG set in the sky world of Cloudia. However, the world is rife with invasions, war, and monsters. Determined to stop all this, the young knight Raynus sets off on a crusade via airship to stop the chaos. The game uses the Multi Wait Battle System, which puts emphasis on fast-paced and strategic battle encounters.

The game was released on cellphones and early iOS devices, but has since become unavailable. This is the first game, and its popularity led to many sequels being made.
