Update 4/12: New discount to 19% off spotted at Bundle Stars. See details below.

Earlier today it was reported that Sega pulled a fast one on us all with the surprise release of Bayonetta on PC. The game is up on Steam right now for $19.99, but it only took a few hours for third-party PC gaming retailers to get in on the discount action. You can now get the new Steam version of Bayonetta at a discount if you know where to look.

The cheapest way to go is the UK-based GamesPlanet. While GP only shows British Pound prices, there you’ll find the price cut to £13.49, which after a favorable currency conversion, makes the game only $16.85 in US dollars (that’s 15% off for those not doing the math). The key can be bought world wide but can’t be activated in few parts of the world like South America, parts of Asia (Australia is good to go), and Russia.

An alternative to GamesPlanet is DLGamer, and you can make the case is the better way to save. There you’ll find the game priced in US dollars at $16.99, or pennies more and the price is in US Dollars so there’s no currency conversion fee if you don’t have British Pounds on hand to buy with. DLGamer’s key activates world wide except South America.

Keep in mind the only version available right now is the Digital Deluxe Edition of Bayonetta. Now through April 25 it’s at no additional cost and will likely be bumped up $5 or $10 in two weeks time. The Deluxe gets you the game, soundtrack, digital artbook, wallpapers, and a few other digital goodies.
