Guilty Gear Strive Has Been Played by Over 3 Million People

Arc System Works announced that Guilty Gear Strive has recorded over 3 million players worldwide. The company gathered this number by combining the player lists from the PC and console releases. Even though the fighting game is also available in arcades, the Japanese press release confirmed that it did not include players from the latter cabinets. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

The game’s background artist Fumitaka Hirachi drew a new illustration to celebrate the new milestone. This image features Johnny, Elphelt, A.B.A., and Slayer. These four characters are also part of the now-completed “third” season pass, which goes along with the “3” million players milestone.

The full celebratory illustration is available to view via the Japanese tweet from the game’s official X account right below:

The tweet also mentioned more upcoming content related to Strive, as Arc System Works is still not completely done with this iteration yet. In another reference to the “3 million” milestone, the company is still working on the new “Team of 3” update that will add online 3v3 matches to Guilty Gear Strive. Arc System Works had also revealed an anime adaptation of the game, which will appear with the subtitle Dual Rulers.

Guilty Gear Strive is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC, and arcades.
