The Raiden Shogun will get her own story quest when Genshin Impact version 2.1 drops–Imperatrix Umbrosa Chapter. As usual, this means there will be certain unlocking requirements to see it. Now that miHoYo officially announced it, it also went over how to go through it.
The two triggers to open up the Raiden Shogun Story Quest in Genshin Impact are fairly simple. People just have to keep up with the current storyline and make personal progress. The first thing you will need to do is hit Adventure Rank 40. This also means you’ll have to have cleared Ascension Quests 1 and 2. Then, you’ll have to get through all Inazuma Chapter 2 Archon Quests available as of version 2.1. That includes Act III – Omnipresence Over Mortals.
As for how to unlock the Chapter 2 Inazuma Archon Quests in Genshin Impact, that’s fairly simple. After hitting Adventure Rank 30 and getting through Chapter II: Prologue – Autumn Winds, you can take on I:The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia and II:Stillness, the Sublimation of Shadow. After that, III:
Omnipresence Over Mortals opens up.
When you do have the Raiden Shogun Imperatrix Umbrosa Chapter Story Quest open, it will mean a chance to have the Traveler learn more about the new character. It will also likely mean a chance to use the Raiden Shogun, even if you don’t get her from her banner. All Story Quests tend to involve a battle where you can use the focus character.
Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices. A Switch version is also on the way. Imperatrix Umbrosa Chapter will appear when version 2.1 arrives on September 1, 2021.
