Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics released the first images of Spider-Man from the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers DLC. The web-slinging hero appears alongside other notable Marvel characters in his signature red and blue suit. The Marvel’s Avengers Spider-Man release date is November 30, 2021. It will appear exclusively for the PS4 and PS5.
The new DLC is officially titled With Great Power. It references the slogan from the original comic series. In the released image, it looks as though Spider-Man’s outfit largely follows the high-tech designs from recent media such as the Spider-Man films and Insomniac’s Spider-Man games. However, it looks as though this Peter Parker will be a new interpretation of the character. One notable difference is the hands and soles of his costume feature a black, rubber-like protective material.
Previously, Square Enix released the Marvel’s Avengers War for Wakanda DLC. This added a new storyline and superhero Black Panther. The character was voiced by Christopher Judge, who played Kratos from God of War. Spider-Man’s voice actor has not been announced. We’ll likely get to hear how his voice will sound in the upcoming reveal trailer.
