Less than two weeks left before Konami’s Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain releases, and finally the inevitable preorder discounts are showing up on PC. The first significant price break is happening at 2game with a 25% instant drop from $59.99 to only $44.99. Xbox One and PS4 console gamers can get a $10 bonus at Best Buy if you’re a “My Best Buy” Rewards member.
Beyond preorders, the PC version has plenty discounts at other retail sites. GMG is still running its 23% off coupon code on Final Fantasy type 0 HD, dropping the price from $30 to only $23 – not bad for a Tuesday-releasing title. GamersGate is selling Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin for only $20, which is a historic low price point on PC. Last but not least, Best Buy is holding a PC clearance sale this week with 22 physical DVD games including Battlefield 4 for only $5.
Console gamers aren’t left out in the cold this week either. Since its March 2015 release Final Fantasy type 0 HD is still selling for $50 on GameStop and most retailers but fell to only $19.99 at the Sony Store – a new low by about $10. A good deal at GameStop is the Dark Souls II: Collectors Edition on the Xbox 360 for only $24.99, which is a new low by $15 and likely to sell out within the next few days considering its limited quantity.
