Following the cancellation of E3 2020, Microsoft and Ubisoft have both stepped up to go over its replacement plans. While there won’t be an event to actually attend, media briefings are still planned. Microsoft Executive Vice President of Gaming Phil Spencer took to Twitter to confirm a digital event, while the official Ubisoft Twitter account similarly shared a message.

E3 2020 was officially canceled on March 11, 2020, following rumors the evening before, due to concerns over COVID-19 coronavirus. Previously, Spencer had confirmed that the Microsoft would have a presence at E3 2020.
E3 2020 would have been held June 9-11, 2020 in Los Angeles, California. E3 2021 will proceed as planned. In addition, BitSummit 2020 was also postponed on March 11, 2020.
