Monster Hunter Rise Stuttering

Monster Hunter Rise Demo Stuttering Issue Will Not Occur in Full Release

Capcom has released a statement concerning the issues regarding stuttering in the Monster Hunter Rise demo. The developer has confirmed that the stuttering that has occurred for users with high friend counts on their Nintendo Switch friend lists is a legitimate issue. However, it has also been confirmed that this will not be present in the full release of the game. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

The statement reads as follows:

For customers using the demo version of Monster Hunter Rise, if the number of registered friends on the user’s account exceeds a certain number, the game will begin to stutter (this is a processing failure).. Please be assured that we have confirmed that this issue does not occur in the full version. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your support.

Several users had taken to Twitter, noting that the demo version of Monster Hunter Rise would stutter considerably when the associated Switch account had a large amount of friends on their friend list. Those who have a fairly sparse friend list would not encounter this issue to the same severity. While players with zero friends on their friend list avoided stuttering in the Monster Hunter Rise demo entirely.

The Monster Hunter Rise demo is immediately available for the Nintendo Switch. However, it is only available for a limited time. Additionally, those who have save data from the demo will receive a special pack of items when accessing the full release of the game.

Monster Hunter Rise is in development for the Nintendo Switch and will launch worldwide on March 26, 2021.
